About SomaPsyche
At its heart, this work is about coming home to yourself.
Our Story
SomaPsyche comes from the integration of soma (body) and psyche (mind/spirit). It reflects a core belief that there is no true separation between body and mind — a concept articulated by disability studies scholar Margaret Price through the framework of the bodymind, which recognizes thinking, feeling, sensation, and physiology as inseparable expressions of one living system.
SomaPsyche supports adults who desire to reclaim their vitality, explore the fullness of their identities, and deepen their relationships with themselves and others. This work honors the bodymind as a dynamic, living system shaped by relationships, lived experience, identity, and the political and cultural contexts that influence how we survive, connect, and belong, integrating somatic and relational therapy to foster embodiment, integrity, and aliveness.
Meet Our Team
Abí Steinsiek, MSSW, LCSW
SomaPsyche Founder and Somatic Psychotherapist
I came to this work the way many people do — not through a straight line, but through my own unraveling, and the long, tender process of finding my way back to myself. What I discovered along the way is that healing rarely happens in just one place. It moves through all of them — the mind slowly making meaning, the body releasing what it's quietly held for years, something deeper underneath finally given room to breathe. I've come to believe that we don't heal in pieces. We heal when all of who we are gets to be part of the journey.
As a licensed clinical social worker and somatic psychotherapist I work with people who are navigating trauma, identity, relationships, spirituality, and the kind of existential weight that hides in plain sight.
I founded SomaPsyche on the radical premise: that bodymind were never separate to begin with, that thinking, feeling, sensation, and physiology are not parallel tracks but a single living system, shaped by relationships, lived experience, identity, and the world we move through. At its heart, this work is about coming home to yourself. I draw on sensorimotor psychotherapy, ketamine-assisted therapy, earth wisdom, breathwork, and psychedelic preparation and integration — following your lead, meeting you wherever you are on your path.
I work with people who are complex, curious, and ready for deeper long lasting shifts. If that's you, you’ll know.

“Good therapy should fuck you up - not ruin your life, but rearrange the walls you’ve built so transformation can escape. It should pull you from careful distance into fault-line contact, from talking about yourself to confrontation with the self.”
